My path to becoming a therapist started long before I ever thought of it as a career. Growing up, I was surrounded by people navigating mental health challenges, often at a time when mental health wasn’t talked about as openly or understood as it is today. Those experiences sparked a lifelong curiosity about people; why we think, feel, and behave the way we do, how our experiences shape us, and how much support and understanding can matter when life gets hard.
Over the years, that curiosity grew into a genuine passion for understanding people and the complicated, messy, and sometimes wonderful experience of being human. Becoming a therapist felt like a natural fit for me. I love helping people make sense of their experiences, better understand themselves, and figure out what they want and or need moving forward.
In my work, I bring professional training, curiosity, compassion, and a healthy respect for the fact that none of us has life completely figured out. I believe that understanding where we’ve been can help us better understand where we are and can give us a little more freedom in deciding where we want to go from here.
Outside of therapy, I’m a mom of three, which means life is rarely quiet or predictable. I’m also unapologetically pretty "lazy" even "boring" in my free time these days. I genuinely enjoy doing nothing, staying home, and hanging out on the couch with my dog! If I don’t have anywhere to be, I’m probably happiest right where I am. I think there’s something to be said for a life that includes both meaningful work, activity and plenty of time to just… be.
